Anyone can fall into unhappiness. There’s nothing wrong with being unhappy. The issue is how we get out of it. How do we deal with depression? Exams depression, regret from being rejected, financially related grief, personal problems and such, and such. Those are some common forms of recession. And I know how it feels like to be in such a dilemma.

Over the years through a tough challenge and battling depression, I have mastered it. It wasn’t easy but, yes, you can win. Depression is a form of disturbance; it will disturb you and will hurt your mental, social, physical, and emotional aspects. It alters the sleeping schedule. Depression is very dangerous, it’s wise to decipher it quickly.

I was in such a situation a few months ago and it affected me so badly. I couldn’t eat well or sleep comfortably. Sometimes I was compelled to skip dinner because I was tearing myself up so intensely.

The bitter truth I learn — there was nobody to share my feelings with, to comfort me. I had around 180 contacts in my WhatsApp. Nobody texted me. I was living but not in reality. I was a chap with a lifeless body. Everything seems to be dark. I know it hurts, it hurts badly. Life is so unfair. And everyone is facing it. Enjoy the process and enjoy the pain because they are for you just to make you stronger. Now I barely get depressed over stupid things. I am stronger than I was. How did I reach here? How did I cope with it? Here is a secret way. You’ll love it.

• Subconscious Mind

Have you heard ever heard about Subconscious Mind? If you haven’t, don’t worry. The Subconscious mind is a part of the mind which is not fully aware of what we do but it remembers and learns well enough and later this part of the mind has an immense impact on determining our mindset. To make it more simple let’s take an example. Say, you have a favorite teacher in your school. You admire him so much. How do you think there can be an opposite impression? Your friend began to backbite your favorite teacher and disrespect by saying awful stuff about him. And you are not listening attentively. But your subconscious mind has already remembered it. From now on you’ll have at least less or changing fondness for your teacher.

What I am trying to draw here is that your subconscious mind has a big role to play. So in dealing with depression this part of the brain has immense stamina to assist you. Even thinking has an impact on your subconscious mind. Whispering in your mind furthermore has a big role to play in cultivating the subconscious mind. How do you deal? Did somebody hurt your heart? You cried badly, didn’t you? Why don’t start telling in your heart--it’s okay, I am strong? Start instructing your subconscious mind that there is always an alternative to everything. Did your lover reject you? Tell your subconscious mind that there are thousands of other hearts whom you can choose as an alternative. In doing so, your subconscious mind will play a big role in controlling your emotions.

• Divert Your Thinking.

Overthinking kills, there is no positive outcome to it.

Overthinking is a trap. You can’t expect anything positive from it. It will always weigh down your burden. How to deal with overthinking? I’ll give a random activities and choose one which you love.

  • Reading.
  • Writing.
  • Playing mobile games.
  • Chatting with friends.
  • Watching favorite movies.
  • Watching funny videos.
  • Working out.
  • Cooking.
  • Cleaning.

Do you love any one of the lists? The only crucial way to deal with overthinking is to do what you love. In doing so, learn to balance the outcome. Do you want to resist overthinking? Go for your favorite hobbies. For me, writing and reading always help me kill overthinking. I can easily resist overthinking. Once I began to overthink I stop right there and I’ll tell myself — there’s no benefit. Furthermore, I watch comical tapes just to let overthinking go off.

• Be Positive.

A person with a positive mind can conquer anything.

Get a positive mind. Develop every day. Read books on how to have a positive mind. Read and read because this is the promising way how of growing. Have got some free time? Hurry, grasp a book, and read. Don’t waste your time on social media. They never add value to your life. Reading will add value to your life. A good book can change you and provide you with a positive mind.

Once you got a positive mind nothing will depress you more. It might but the chances of intensely hurting you will be tiny. Positivity is the most dominant combatant in dealing with problems like depressions, pains, emotions, and any type of other problems. POSITIVITY is not just hoping for good, it’s your mindset itself to keep ongoing positively. Discipline, faithful, positive ideas, thoughts, attitude, patience, and bearing are all part of positivity. You call it Optimistic.
