Love traveling? I am a big fan of it. I love traveling!

You must have had the experience of traveling through a ropeway. If you do that’s amazing!

It’s chilling and exciting.

On April 19, 2022, my related brother and I went to visit the Brahmaputra River Heritage. Oh, it’s so amazing! From there I saw something flying through the rope over the Brahmaputra river. I knew about the ropeway over the Brahmaputra river but I never knew the exact location of it.

Months ago, I have seen my sister through ropeway on her YouTube Channel. I was tempted to try!

I texted my eldest sister and asked for details about the ropeway. She was busy! So I phoned her. She gave all the details about the location and fee. We reach the exact starting location with the help of Google Map!

Guwahati is the biggest city in the entire NE India. It has over 1 Million Population and a 1.5 Billion USD GDP. That can be classified as a big city in my country India.

The fee was fair. It cost us exactly 2$(per head) for both ways. The length of the ropeway installation is 1.8 Km, and it’s the longest ropeway installation in India. What makes it so special? It’s beautiful and located in the best spot. With the ropeway, you can cross the Brahmaputra river. The river is about 1.5 Km wide! The biggest and longest river in the entire NE India.

Have you heard of Umananda (see the photography)? If you don’t then let me tell you about it. It’s an Island in the middle of the Brahmaputra river. It’s the smallest river island in the world.

You can view the island from the ropeway while crossing over it. It looks so beautiful!

● How was the ropeway trip?

It was fun! It doesn’t end just here. I was tempted throughout the trip. Like, what if the rope melts due to a hot sunny day? What if we fell into the river? What if we overweight the maximum standing capacity of the rope?

I was never free from temptation. I was like — hell no! Why would I ever try this! I wanted to reach the ending point as soon as possible. At some instant, it moves a bit faster especially at the declining rope from the tower. Occasionally it is a bit shaking!

It was one of the best memories of my life! I enjoyed the whole day. I was scared but fun was all that dominated.

You should try it! And let me know your experiences through ropeway if you have ever tried it once.
